Sushi chefs use sushi sauce for a variety of reasons. For the obvious use is to enhance the flavor of your sushi roll. Sushi sauces can come in a variety of flavors; some can be sweet and tangy, while others are spicy and hot. The sauces can also be made from all kinds of different bases such as mayo or even honey.

Sushi chefs like to incorporate sushi sauce for presentation value. They use their unique skills to make the dish become something much more then just a sushi roll. The chefs use these sauces to make colorful and intriguing lines and designs to entice the person who will be eating it.
